Ischgl as a ski resort is quite expensive however the skiing in Ischgl is fantastic! On top of this the town has a great atmosphere and there are plenty of apres-ski partys going on. The end of the season each year is celebrated in style with lots of concerts.

Ischgl - Ski

Ischgl's ski area is one of the largest in Austria with over 200 km of pistes and 40 lifts. For advanced skiers there are amazing off-piste trails and for boarders Ischgl is one of the best destinations in the Alps. Ischgl probably caters slightly more for intermediate to advanced skiers rather than beginners. The main skiing area is between altitudes of 2000m – 2872m so good snow conditions are guaranteed from the end of November till the beginning of May and 100 snow cannons supplement the natural snow. Since the summer of 2007 several investments have been made in the lift system. The old 6 seat lifts have been replaced by new 8 seat lifts which include heated seats!

Ischgl - Town

Ischgl is a traditional resort resembling an old farming village from the 10th century. The village is pedestrianised so cars are not allowed in, making it pleasant to stroll around between the lifts and the bars. As a resort it offers the perfect mix of old-fashioned luxury and good partys.

Activities

Although the resort retains its traditional village air you can still find on every corner boutique shops, top-class restaurants and glitzy bars & clubs. You can take also take the lift from Ischgl to Samnaun and shop duty-free!
On the snow if you fancy getting off the slopes then there is the massive SnowART Park, which Ischgl is very proud of.

Children

Thanks to a good lift system even children can reach the more beautiful areas of the resort without having to walk far.
